If you are into cosmetic products, then make sure you don’t apply any lotion before or during the surgery. It is recommended to stay away from the deodorants too during this period.

There is a specific procedure that the doctors follow to ensure a smooth laser for hypertrophic scar. A local anesthesia is applied along the region where the scar is present. Wet towels and gauze strips are used to absorb the laser pulses applied along the region. The laser is then applied along the scar tissue. Once the treatment is finished, the doctor applies an ointment along the region to reduce the pain.
